This seminar began with a speech from our association president, Mr. Kent Chan Tze-Kin, who highlighted the evolution of the advertising industry in Hong Kong over the past thirty years, from the early days of silk-screened large posters to the current prevalence of digital printing technology. In response to this change, the Chinese name of Sign Association of Hong Kong has been renamed to a wider meaningful for absorbing the advertising stakeholder together, with a mission to serve the industry more broadly. The association has two main objectives: firstly, to reduce environmental pollution caused by advertising,

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange recently announced that all listed companies are required to submit Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports to showcase their sustainable development performance. Notably, starting from the 1 January 2025, listed companies will be mandated to submit Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reports.

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) announced that the HoHoSkips service for construction waste collection and recycling has been extended to Hong Kong Island, Kwun Tong, Tseung Kwan O and Tuen Mun from 1 December 2020.
